This year's event is brought to you by the local nonprofit Long Beach Forward and the office of Senator Lena Gonzalez, 33rd District Representative who has nearly 1 million Los Angeles County residents in her area, including Long Beach and Southeast LA. The 2024 Luncheon is being hosted in Long Beach, a city rich in diversity, which flourishes when we embrace that diversity as a source of strength for community building and collaboration.

By bringing together our greater community to celebrate community connection, the historic election of Mayor Rex Richardson, and our Black community’s ongoing resilience and legacy, we are able to raise awareness, bridge communities, build understanding, and promote education with a diverse audience.
